Dedas Statement

The Dedas seating system draws inspiration from the geometric rigor and artistic spirit of Hungarian neo-avantgarde era, particularly the works of the 60s and 70s, while embracing the functional purity of the Bauhaus movement. Its design of the panels allows for flexibility, creating adaptable seating arrangements that suit both intimate and open spaces. The bold, high backrests offer both privacy and acoustic benefits, while the iridescent fabric weave, inspired by the optical illusions of Victor Vasarely, adds a dynamic visual element. Sustainability was a key focus, with eco-friendly materials like one-by-one replaceable upholstered panels, responsibly sourced foam, avoiding seams, cradle to cradle certificated fabrics, which subtly reflect the tradition of vitreous enamelling. Dedas blends art, functionality, and sustainable design, inviting users to interact with space in a new and creative way. Our long term aim is to suit the structure of the furniture to the circular economical approach.
